Solid Waste Facility

As a group, please brainstorm the following ideas and any other questions and answers.  Either use a large piece of paper or Inspiration to report your ideas to the class.  Finally fill out the form for your section of the Rescue Mission.  If the sheet is not available on-line, see the teacher.

• Can both human and animal waste be composted?

• What cycles are part of this facility?

• What is a biomass chamber?

• Will plants be included in this waste facility?

• What areas of the spaceship will be connected to this facility?

Assignments:

1. Your group is responsible for one to two slides of a power point presentation explaining  the inputs and out puts of this section of spaceship earth.

2. Your group will design a three dimensional model of this section of spaceship earth and be able to explain all links to the other sections of the spaceship.
